Subject: Medicinal use of psychedelics in homeopathic potency (Psychedelics, namely: Psilocybin, Ayahuasca, DMT, LSD and etc.).
My name is Iman Pour Navab, president of the ARHFC - Applied Research in Homeopathy Foundation of Canada (a not-for-profit organization that conducts research in science of homeopathy). As a homeopath practitioner and herbalist I am registered with the College of Homeopaths of Ontario, which is a regulatory body, functioning in Ontario of Canada.
After three years of collecting data, the ARHFC is submitting a petition to Health Canada to request for an exempt permit for conducting clinical research in a homeopathic setting for provings of psychedelics in homeopathic potency. Our goal is two-folds: (a) to achieve a breakthrough therapy status for use of psychedelics in homeopathic potency by establishing an expansion in materia medica for mental health symptoms including but not limited to homeopathic treatment of psychotic disorders, substance abuse and addictions, autism, suicidal tendencies, depression, anxiety attacks and post-traumatic stress disorder. And (b) to ensure that no one acquires patents for the use of psychedelics in homeopathic potency. This general knowledge must remain in the public domain without ownership for the sake of patients’ right to access licensed homeopathic psychedelic remedies - without proprietorship.
In order to achieve our goal, I am hereby requesting that homeopaths support the ARHFC in this endeavour by raising awareness within the homeopathic community worldwide: that no entity should hold any form of patent specific to the modality of psychedelics in homeopathic medicine.
Currently there are ongoing clinical studies on therapeutic benefits of psychedelics that are being conducted by different groups and also by reputable universities in Canada and the United States of America. This new wave can potentially change psychotherapy for betterment of humanity by utilizing psychedelics in controlled dosages. Thus it is of utmost importance that the ARHFC would be granted a permit to legally-accessed psychedelics, by Health Canada, for the purpose of homeopathic-pharmacology and clinical provings.
The outcome of this movement is vital for the role of homeopathic medicine in the future of mental health.
